When it comes to payments, Indian consumers are always looking for faster and smoother experiences. Google Pay has emerged as the new digital payment platform, making it easier for users to pay directly from their smartphones.
If you’re an avid Swiggy user, then you’ll be delighted to know that Google Pay integration is now live on Swiggy’s website and app. With this integration, you can use Google Pay as your primary way to pay your Swiggy bill. Here’s a quick guide on how to link Swiggy with Google Pay.
How to Link Swiggy with Google Pay
Swiggy is one of the world’s largest online food ordering and delivery platforms. With over 15 million monthly active users across 15 Indian cities, people rely on Swiggy for everything from a quick snack to a restaurant meal. To make the payment process even easier for users, Swiggy recently added Google Pay as one of the payment options on its platform. Now, you can use Google Pay to order your favourite food from Swiggy, directly from your smartphone.
Step 1: Install Google Pay
You can link Swiggy with Google Pay via the Google Pay app. Simply, download the app and log in with your Gmail account. Make sure that your mobile phone is running on Android OS 4.4 or higher. Once logged in, tap on the hamburger menu in the upper left corner. There, you’ll see a “Link a new card” option. Once you tap on it, you will be redirected to Google Pay’s terms and conditions page. Once you’ve read and accepted the terms and conditions, you can proceed to add your card details. As Google Pay is an online payment platform, you’ll have to manually enter the details of your bank account or card.
Step 2: Add your card and transfer funds
Once you’ve linked your bank account or credit/debit card to Google Pay, you can use the same card for payment on Swiggy. To do so, simply open the Swiggy app or website and select Google Pay as the payment method. Once you’re on the Payment page, enter the amount to be paid, along with any dynamic details (like the dishes or address) that may be required for delivery. Once you’ve entered these details, click on “Pay”. There, you’ll be redirected to the Google Pay app. Simply, enter your payment details, and your payment will be successful. If you’re using a debit card, the money will be transferred directly from your bank account. If you’re paying via credit card, the amount will be transferred to your Google Pay account, and you will have to manually transfer it to your bank account.
Step 3: Confirm the installation process
The Google Pay integration with Swiggy has two stages. While linking your credit/debit card/bank account to Google Pay is the first stage, linking Swiggy with Google Pay is the second. To complete the second stage, you have to install the Swiggy app on your Google Pay app. To do so, open the Google Pay app and click on the hamburger menu in the upper left corner. There, click on “App settings” and then on “Install apps”. Now, search for Swiggy in the search bar and select the app from the list. Next, click on “Install” to install the Swiggy app on Google Pay.
